Sunday 20th September 2026 – 10am
This is a 5 mile Cross Country event in the MABAC Running League series. The senior race is just over 8 km (5 miles) there are also joggers and junior events of about 4 km (2.5 miles). The event is open ONLY to members of the MABAC clubs.
The route will not have hills, but Chessington Unity running Club says that “with a lot of luck rain will be forecast and we can at least have a mudbath to make it a true MABAC route”. The course is not suitable for studded shoes, hybrids is recommended

If the car park is full then there is free parking in all side streets.
Club members should walk past the tennis courts towards the main building and then enter the side gate to the track just before the main entrance of the Harrier Centre. Toilets can be accessed from the track into the Harrier Centre but participants must not venture further into the building as we do not have permission to use the main hall.
Clubs can congregate on the green at the centre of the track.

Just so you are aware, Chessington Unity is also seeking permission for another potential site to use next year, so it’s not yet certain whether Hogsmill River is to be a permanent MABAC fixture or not. All the more reason to rally the troops to get out and enjoy it this year!
