Your running number must be visible and helps to find yourself in the free event photos.

BAGGAGE : Those of you arriving by car are encouraged to leave your bags  (and any valuables) in that vehicle. If you are unable to carry your car keys they can be left with a dedicated marshal in The Band Room. Baggage can be also be left in The Band Room but this is at your own risk.

CHANGING: You can change in the Scout HQ main room (but there is no segregation) .

COURSE; The start (and finish) is 100m to the rear of The Band Room. The course has a lap of 7 miles with the first half on road.  At about half way you will be turned onto the Downs Link, which will lead you all the way back to the start.  Mile markers will be provided and marshals will be on the course.  As the Downs Link is unsurfaced, it can become muddy after periods of rain although, with one week to go, mud can be avoided. We will provide an update if surface conditions change.

LAPS : You can choose to run 1, 2 or a maximum of 3 laps, even after you have started. However you will not be able to start a lap after 12.00pm, nor after stopping for more than 20 minutes upon completing a lap.

MEDAL: Whether you complete 7 miles, 14 miles or 21 miles you will be awarded a special bespoke commemorative medal once you complete you chosen number of laps.

RESULTS  – Results will be published on mabacleague.org.uk within 24 hours

SPECTATORS: Spectators are very welcome but please ask them to stay off the road. The Downs Link is a great place for spectating and is well away from traffic and yet within a few minute’s walk of Cranleigh High Street, shops etc. Walk 3miles up the track and there is a disused train station.
